Mercer Heads to Athens to Face #11 UGA

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer softball team will be on the road this week to take on #11 University of Georgia.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
   The Bulldogs are 37-10 on the season and 15-5 in the SEC conference. The team is coming off of a series sweep against Southern Carolina and are on a five game winning streak. Georgia leads the series 21-1 with one loss coming in 2018. The Bears will have to watch out for starter pitcher Shelby Walters who is 17-3 on the season with a 1.32 ERA. Walters has 90 strikeouts and six saves.

NOTABLE SOCON BEARS

Bailey Ledvina is first in the conference for SAC bunts (12). She recorded two home runs this past weekend.
Rebeca Laudino is third for batting average (.362) and first for hits (54).
Tori Hedgecock is second for most homeruns recording 11 so far this season.
