
Men’s, Women’s Tennis Host ABAC In South Macon On Monday

MACON – The Mercer men's and women's tennis teams will return to the courts on Monday afternoon when the Bears host a concurrent 2:30 p.m. doubleheader against visiting ABAC at the Randy Stephens Tennis Center in south Macon.

Mercer's women (4-2) are riding the momentum of a big home win on Saturday over Appalachian State at the Copelan Tennis Complex. The Mountaineers captured a trio of singles wins to knot up the team score at 3-3 late, but junior Tea Zivic toughed out a 6-4 triumph in the deciding third set to hand the Orange & Black its fourth win of the spring campaign.
The Mercer men's team (0-5) is still seeking its first victory of the traditional spring campaign after dropping a tough 7-0 decision at unbeaten Ole Miss on Friday afternoon. The Rebels took four singles matches in straight sets, with MU seniors Hod'Abalo Isak Padio and Nemanja Stefanovic both succumbing in a decisive third set tiebreaker.
ABAC's men's team has dropped its first six outings of the campaign as well heading into Macon on Tuesday. The Golden Stallions are 0-5 on the women's side.
