MACON – Visiting Wofford scored three runs in the top of the sixth to take its first lead of the ballgame, but Mercer answered with four of its own in the bottom of the seventh, including a wild pitch that plated Jessie Taylor with the game-winning score, as the Bears forged a split of Saturday's series-opening doubleheader with the Terriers at Sikes Field.

Wofford (24-7, 3-2 SoCon) tacked up multiple runs in four different frames on the way to an 11-4 win in Saturday's opener. The walk-off win in the second game put the kibosh on a four-game skid for the Bears (14-17, 2-3).

KEY INNINGS (GAME 1)
TOP 1	Wofford loaded the bases with its first three at-bats of the afternoon, then took the lead for good on a wild pitch. Brianna Stanley hit a 3-run homer with the fourth at-bat of the frame before the dust settled in the frame.

KEY INNINGS (GAME 2)
TOP 6	The first three batters of the frame reached base safely for the Terriers, and Kalli Petty broke a 5-5 tie when she won an 8-pitch at-bat with a go-ahead sacrifice fly. Wofford added a pair of insurance runs with its next two at-bats, first with Gracie Parker's 1-out RBI single and then with Desirae Devine's sacrifice fly to deep right field.
BOT 7	Daniella Monaco hit her second home run of the game to signal a rally in the seventh, and Mercer followed with consecutive base hits from Grace Jones, Olivia Lenzen and Jessie Taylor to juice the bases. The Bears used ill-timed fielding errors in each of the next two at-bats to even the score up, and Taylor eventually scored on a wild pitch seconds later to finish off the comeback.
