
Bears Win Series Against Buccaneers

Mercer Victorious on Senior Day
Macon, Ga. – The Mercer Bears were able to win the series against the ETSU Buccaneers after falling in game one. A grand slam from Diamond Williams helped secure the win.Â

Adele Braun reached first after being hit by the pitcher in the bottom of the second, being the first Bear to touch base. Annie Potter reached on a fielder's choice, but the game remained scoreless.Â

In the bottom of the third, Madison Headley singled to third base and eventually stole second. Rebeca Laudino reached after being hit by the pitcher. A walk from Alyssa Woods loaded the bases. Diamond Williams homered for a four RBI, giving the lead to the Bears.Â

In the bottom of the fourth Kenlie Harvey earned a walk.Â

Laudino singled to right field and stole second in the bottom of the fifth. Woods reached on error while Laudino scored. Woods advanced to second and due to a wild pitch, moved to third. No prevail for Woods. Bears finished the inning on top by five.Â

The bottom of the sixth would be the last inning the Bears played. Other than a hit by pitcher to Grace Prom, the inning had no other hits or runs.
Up Next
The Bears will host Georgia Southern for a Tuesday night doubleheader on the 26th. The first game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.Â
