Mercer to Play Doubleheader Against Georgia Southern

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Bears are set to host Georgia Southern for their last home appearance, a game rescheduled in March due to weather.

MERCER OUTLOOK
The Bears went 2-1 in their last home conference series against ETSU winning the second game of the doubleheader and the Sunday senior day game.

Diamond Williams leads the team with a batting average of .321 and hit the game changing grand slam in Sunday's game. Annie Potter leads with eight doubles and is tied with Alyssa Woods with two triples. Woods hit the walk-off double during the Saturday night game. Rebeca Laudino leads in runs (25), and hits (42). Laudino is now tied with Williams with 20 RBIs. Williams and Adele Braun join Kenlie Harvey with three homeruns. Tori Hedgecock has 23 total walks.

In the circle, Hannah Pitts leads with a 4.85 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP. Pitts holds a W-L record of 4-15.

SCOUTING GEORGIA SOUTHERN
The Eagles are 9-29 on the season with a conference record of 4-14.

Faith Shirley holds the highest batting average of .309 and leads in hits (30), doubles (8), and walks (13). Shirley is tied with Jess Mazur with eight homeruns. Mazur is also tied with Ashleigh Duty in runs with 16 total.  Mazur, Janai Conklin, and Courtney Ball all have two triples. Mazur leads in RBIs with 24.

Rylee Waldrep has the lowest ERA of 4.88, 1.66 WHIP, and is 5-12 on the season.

Head Coach Sharon Perkins is within her 1^st season.
