Glus, Kamaka Dominate To Earn Student-Athlete Of The Week Recognition

MACON – Caroline Glus filled up the box score and reached a milestone that has been almost unheard of while Titan Kamaka was scorching hot from the plate and received national recognition for his performances as the pair of Mercerians were voted as the Mercer Student-Athletes of the Week for the second time this athletic year.
Glus became the third player in Mercer women's lacrosse history to reach 200 career points after netting six goals and tallying an assist to lead her squad to an undefeated week. The senior attacker from Hershey, Pennsylvania, began the week with a hat trick against Radford before snagging another hat trick with an assist in the Bears' win over Wofford.
Kamaka slashed .643/.737/.929 and posted a 1.666 OPS across four starts last week. The senior shortstop from Orlando, Florida, was named the Brooks Wallace Player of the Week as the shortstop with the best individual performance across the entire country. Kamaka mashed a go-ahead home run that secured Mercer's sweep over Towson this past Sunday. The College Baseball Hall of Fame named Kamaka a semifinalist of the Brooks Wallace Award as one of the country's top 50 shortstops this season.
